How does trekking amongst terraced rice fields, tea plantations, and mountains sound to you? This expert-designed trekking tour of Hoang Su Phi, one of the two mountainous districts in the western border of Ha Giang province, will take you on an eye-catching adventure you’ll never forget. Hoang Su Phi is the home of thousands of ethnic tribal people including Dao, Tày, Nùng, Mông, Cờ Lao, and La Chí minority.
DAY 1 DAY 2 DAY 3DAY 1: HA NOI – HOANG SU PHI – THONG NGUYEN
From Ha Noi, Our Limousine Van will pick you up at your hotel around 7:00 AM, where we will follow the No. 2 National Highway to Ha Giang City, then turn at Tan Quang Crossroad towards Hoang Su Phi. After 20km, we will arrive in Thong Nguyen.
Our guide will pick you up at Thong Nguyen to start the one-hour trek to the village of Nam Hong, where you will enjoy dinner and sleep in a homestay. In the evening, enjoy free time to rest before your trek the next morning.

DAY 2: NAM HONG – NAM KHOA – NAM AI
After enjoying your breakfast overlooking the mountains, you will depart with your guide at 9AM to start the trek to explore the incredible surrounding nature — including mountains, tropical forest and rice terraces. After traveling 7 km for approximately 3 hours, we will arrive at the village of Nam Khoa. Here, we will enjoy lunch and a well-deserved break with a Red Dao family.
In the afternoon, we will travel from Nam Khoa to the Lang Giang valley by going through the Heaven Gate, a pass surrounded by lush forest. We will arrive at Nam Ai after a 7 km walk in the afternoon. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in a Dao family homestay.

DAY 3: NAM AI – NAM SON – HA NOI
After breakfast with your gracious host, the walk continues to the North. On the way you may meet some Tay, Nung and Dao ethnic people working on the terrace rice fields. You will also enjoy the sights of cassava tree fields, the forests, and the tea plantations towards the valley. Great photo opportunities! After around 3 hours of walking approximately 9km, we will take a break at Nam Son and enjoy a local lunch.
After lunch, we will continue to walk 3 km. At around 3pm, our car will transfer you to Tan Quang Crossroad, where you will take our luxurious Limousine Van back to Ha Noi. You arrive at your hotel in Ha Noi around 10:30 PM.
